Lighthouse Baptist Church

Visiting a church for the first time can be a nerve wracking experience.  It is our desire to be a blessing to individuals and families alike.  You will receive a friendly welcome, and a gracious acceptance.  We hope to be an encouragement through Christ honoring music, sound Bible teaching and preaching, and friendly fellowship.  To set your mind at ease let us answer a few of the questions you might have.

We have graded Sunday school classes for all ages on Sunday morning.  A children's church service is available for ages 3-12 during the Sunday morning worship service.  Child care for little ones under age 3 is available as well for all services.

_There is not a dress code at Lighthouse Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome on your visit here at Lighthouse Baptist!

Chris Austin is the founding Pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church.  He and his wife Tammy have four children.  Pastor Austin was saved in 1992, and soon after sensed the direction of the Lord to give himself full time to the gospel ministry.  He graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO in 1997, and went to work as an Assistant Pastor at the Calvary Baptist Church in Chickasha, OK under the leadership of Pastor Ron Caudill.  In 2004, CBC sent the Austin family to Lawton to start the Lighthouse Baptist Church.

_Having considered the evidence at hand, we believe the King James Version of Scripture is the preserved Word of God for English speaking people.  We do not believe in "double" inspiration, but the power of God to preserve His Word is demonstrated in the KJV.
